The Cajun Festival proudly presents a superb line-up of musicians for the 2009 festival.

For your enjoyment the festival features two separate stage areas, the Fais-Do-Do & the Gazebo Stage.
Entertainment on the Fais-Do-Do Stage starts with the Band-Aids Jazz Band. This group always opens the festival with a spirited New Orleans/Dixieland flavor to our festival. They'll conclude their performance with second-line dancing by the Medina Lake Second Line Dancers sponsored by Karen Ripley RealEstate Management.
Then will follow big-name Louisiana Cajun bands including Bruce Daigrepont Cajun Band from New Orleans, LA and Rodney Thibodeaux & Tout Les Soir from Baton Rouge, LA.
Entertainment on the Gazebo Stage will include Les Flammes de Rouge from San Antonio, Jean-Pierre Blanchard and the Zydeco Angels originally from Nice, France and Cedryl Ballou and the Zydeco Trendsetters.

Returning to the festival will be the Bruce Daigrepont Cajun Band for their fifth appearance in Lakehills.

Cajun songwriter, accordionist, and bandleader Bruce Daigrepont describes his style of music as "new traditional Cajun." The band is comprised of accordion, fiddle, and a tight rhythm section and they mix traditional Louisiana French music with original Cajun and Zydeco material. No two Bruce Daigrepont concerts are ever the same because Daigrepont doesn't have a "set list" for what they play. He has a floating repertoire of more than 200 songs which he selects at will on stage. That repertoire consists of traditional Cajun waltzes, two-steps, fiddle reels, deep blues, swamp pop, Zydeco, and R&B.

Jean-Pierre Blanchard and the Zydeco Angels
Jean-Pierre hails from Lafayette, Louisiana and now based in Austin, TX. This band brings the authentic sound of Zydeco Foot Stomping Music right to you. Jean-Pierre Blanchard grew up listening to Zydeco and Blues. He has been playing accordion and Harmonica since he was a kid, he has found a niche in the Zydeco world, listening to the King of Zydeco. Jean-Pierre has played most Festivals and Clubs around Louisiana and Texas. He is well known in Louisiana, now he is looking for to spread the word in West Texas. Jean-Pierre has been playing for 17 years and is very traditional in the form of the music, he has too much respect for Clifton Chenier to change it, why change it, it sounds good just the way it is. When he started playing Zydeco there was very few Zydeco bands, Zydeco was almost unknown, now there is a lot of Zydeco bands coming up, except they have not keep the traditional sound alive. "Laissez Les Bon temps Rouler, Cher !!!!!!!!"
